No right click available on taskbar

Hi all,
on my laptop when I want to remove a USB flash drive I can't right click on the icon - "safely remove hardware and eject media"....No menu or options at all show up.
Right click works on all the other icons on the taskbar and anywhere else.
Any ideas what may be going on?

Hello Harry,

For now, you might see if either option below may be able to help you to eject the device until you get this sorted.

Thanks guys,
Oscer....No, double clicking did zilch.
Brink...handy for a stop gap remedy but being the stubborn jackass I am I went through everything looking for the glitch. Found the bluetooth was turned off, started it up and the right click is back!

Chrome - Taskbar Right Click?
Hi, I recently re-installed Windows 7 on my home computer. I use Google Chrome as my default browser, and before I re-installed 7, I could right click the Chrome icon on my taskbar, and there would be a list of options (new incognito window, or something of this sort). Now, however, there aren't...

Right-click + C to close from TaskBar... no more?
Added to the unnervingly long list of keystroke actions that are more work in Win7 than in WinXP is the ability to close a window from the taskbar in just 2 steps. In WinXP this was easy and quick with a right-click and C (for close). In Win7 -- at least with Classic Shell installed -- it needs an...

Anyway I can get this back to the old style of right clicking to see maximise, minimise, size move restore and not the way they have done it in W7?

right click on taskbar and hit C
Probably a lost cause but... I've made a habit (from XP) whenever I want to close a folder or other program, I right-click it on the taskbar and hit 'c' on my keyboard. However, in Windows 7, it just highlights 'close' and doesn't actually close it. Is there any way at all to get it to work...
