Playing audio after boot freezes machine for roughly one minute

Hello,

anytime I try to play audio with whatever application (Foobar2000, Teamviewer, it doesn't really matter) directly after boot, the whole machine becomes completely unresponsive for about a minute and the hard disk explodes, until the sound finally starts playing.

What the heck, is it so complicated to play a sound, does it really need to load 1 GB of data for that???

With only 4GB of RAM and a 64 bit OS, I suspect its more a memory problem. The sound is just a product of the system not responding, and its not actually a "sound" problem.

64 bit OS is really intended for systems with more than 4GB of RAM. A 64 bit OS uses more basic memory than a 32 bit OS and thus less RAM remains for programs.

Chrome freezes for a minute when loading a site in new tab
Hey there. This doesn't happen every time I open a new tab, but on certain occasions. It seems really random, so I'm not sure if there's a specific trigger for it, but when I click on a link that opens in another tab, it'll lock the whole laptop for about a minute and then beep two or three...

No crash, everything just freezes for about a minute, then resumes?
Been noticing this for a while: Whenever I'm off the computer during the day, I place it on sleep. At the end of the day, I completely shut down. Not sure if what I'm about to describe occurs shortly after waking up from sleep or shortly after boot up. Nonetheless, as I'm browsing, or in my...

One minute freezes
My Win7x64 home was installed recently by AVAdirect (the computer builder). I haven't seen any BSOD but perhaps a few times a day it freezes for 30 or 60 seconds and then merrily goes on its way as if nothing wrong ever happened. I see lots of warnings in the system health test (attached) but I...

Windows freezes for over ~1 minute after each cold boot/reboot
So ever since I upgraded to a GeForce GTX 460, I've been getting these ~1min long freezes every time my PC just finished loading Windows (either after a cold boot or reboot). What could be causing this? EDIT: This didn't happen to me with my old Radeon HD 5770.
