M-Audio Delta family 64-bit driver HERE!

    Hi guys,
I had a little trouble getting the driver files out of the Vista x64 installer (M-Audio don't make it easy!) so thought I'd post them up here for anyone to use.
I am running Windows 7 x64 and my Audiophile 2496 works perfectly with this driver, which is the new Vista x64 SP1 driver just out of beta (01/27/2009 5.10.00.5069v3).

This should work for the following cards:

    M-Audio Delta 1010
    M-Audio Delta DiO
    M-Audio Delta 66
    M-Audio Delta 44
    M-Audio Delta Audiophile 2496
    M-Audio Delta TDIF
    M-Audio Delta R-BUS
    M-Audio Delta 410
    M-Audio Delta 1010LT
    M-Audio Delta AP 192

If you know what you're doing just download, unzip and install via Device Manager.

If you're not so sure, here's what to do:

Download my zip file (attached) and unzip it somewhere where you'll be able to find it easily.

Open Device Manager (click Start and type Device Manager in the search box) and locate the entry for your card - probably under Other devices.

    Right click on it and:
    • Click Update Driver Software
    • Click Browse my computer for driver software
    • Click Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer
    • Scroll down to Sound, video & game controllers
    • Click Have Disk
    • Browse to the folder where you unzipped the driver files
    • Select MAudioDeltaII.inf
    • Hit Next
    • Your drivers should now install & the M-Audio Control Panel icon appear in the system tray

In case you have on-board sound or whatever you may have to set the card as default sound device. You can do this by going to Control Panel, then choose All Control Panel Items, then choose Sound.
Now find your M-Audio card in the list, select it and click Set Default.
You can right-click on it and select Test to make sure it's working.

You should now have a working M-Audio Delta family sound card

    Cheers, Stuee

    Hi,

I am currently struggling to install my delta 66 on a 32 bits system.

After some searches i was able to obtain 2 set of files, according to the following methods :

    1 - extract the .exe with 7zip
    => from there I get those 6 files :

    • .data
    • .rdata
    • .rsrc
    • .text
    • [data-1]
    • CERTIFICATE

These are the complete names of the file, and I can not do anything with them...

2- Extract the .exe with Universal Extractor
=> i obtained the following other files :

    • setup.exe
    • _setup.dll
    • ISSetup.dll
    • data1.cab
    • data2.cab
    • data1.hdr
    • setup.inx
    • setup.isn
    • setup.ini
    • layout.bin

This looks closer to proper install files than, but i still can't get a .inf, and I can not edit or open any of these files.
The .cab files are supposed to be empty, but theirs size is 500Ko and 2 Mo...

I don't know where to go from here, to obtain the required files, as the ones sent by Stuee
M-Audio definitely don't make it easy!

Any idea on what to do, or where to go with that ?

    Thank you.

I installed the 32 bit Vista drivers for my 2496 fine.
It is an exe file, I ran it as admin (in Vista comatability mode), rebooted and was good to go.
Try it that way 1st and if it doesnt work then...
Right click on the extracted setup.exe, run in Vista Compatability mode, then right click again to run as admin...

    Hope this helps

    This definitely helped !
Works perfectly, thank you so much.

As I jump from XP to Seven, i did not know the Compatibility Mode.
For sure it's a great feature.

    Thanks again,

    Ophiuchus.

Hi People! Sorry, I badly speak English...
My problem is that after installing the drivers for the Delta 44 sound card, your computer is turned off. Otherwise, everything works fine. Have any ideas anyone?

Thanks greatly. I have a rule about running driver packages through winRAR and doing the exact same thing (especially graphics drivers), but I've never been able to extract M-Audio packages like that. Would you mind telling everyone how you did it? Hex edited the header or something?

Some M-Audio drivers were extractable with winrar, but as of lately(last 6 months) they are not for my M-audio 192.

    Hey guys,

M-Audio released Windows 7 Delta drivers for I think both 32 & 64. I'm currently running it on 64 and it's perfect so far.
