    Headset Output through TV

    Hey there,
Basically, what my plan is, Is to use my 26" samsung as my monitor for my laptop, As the laptop will be connected via HDMI the sound output is coming through the TV, As this will be a perm setup, is there anyway i can get the sound to come through my headset which is connected to the laptop but also have it come through the TV whenever im not using the headset, basically i want the best of both.

    Cheers

Windows will only allow one Default Audio Playback device. Some PC's will allow headphone operation when using HDMI and others will not. Hit and miss. But, I don't know of any way to force it, if there is no headset audio.

You can specifically designate which programs use which audio connection in some cases.

This is supported by the use of VAC, or Virtual Audio Cables. But you will have to learn how to do this yourself.

Else i think you can setup a way of setting your headset as the default device when it is plugged in, and when it is not it can revert back to the HDMI output.
