    Realtek problem

Ok, so I just installed windows 7 and my speakers didn't work, so I downloaded realtek driver for 7 and installed it. But my speakers still didn't work, when i open my speaker setup i get this picture:

When I test them they all work except front left and front right, but i actually don't have 7.1 audio channel i have 5.1 and side left and side right are suppose to be front left and front right....I'm going crazy!!!
    Please help anyone.....

Hi BlueClaw and welcome to Window 7 Forums

Do you have the Realtek HD Audio Manager installed (orange/brown speaker icon in system notification area)? If so, right click on it and click Sound Manager.

From here, you can check the operation of each speaker and also the socket assignments.

If you don't have a 7.1 setup don't use it, use the 5.1 that you have, then you'll have front left and right. Just a thought

If you right click one of the sockets, you should get the following pop-up.
    Realtek problem-capture.png
Click on Connector Retasking... to bring up the following (will be similar to, but not identical).

Select your option here and click OK.

You will need to do this for each socket that you have connected.
