you could use a driver sweeper or even rollback the PC, the X-Fi drivers should of prompted a restore point.

once sweeped or rolled back try the above install method again, i think the cards are still a little flakey on W7.

sorry mate, i couldn't understand your last sentence...

I driver sweeped everything and uninstalled the devices.

When i rebooted the pc, the system didn't find the audio device automatically, i tried to find it manuall and it said to me ''No device detected''.

That's annoying will try your method.

Last question, will the Win update install the applications related with the card as well or not??

no...windows will install the generic driver for your soundcard..... this IS NOT the actual card driver, it simply means windows has recognized the device as a soundcard.

the ''creative'' update will install the main driver from the web.

persevere with it mate, my card was doing a disappearing act before i could get the drivers on. :)

i know....if the machine does not detect the card upon boot up, were stuck.

you'll need to keep rebooting until its detected......

       Warning
remember once the machine detects the 3rd party card, you must reboot in order to enable the online updater..

ok....there is a method of getting it to detect, but your not gonna like it.

ive done this with a few PCI cards when they fail to detect...

turn off the PC, open the case & pull out the card so its basically resting in the PCI slot, boot into windows & when the desktop is fully loaded gently push the card back into the slot while the rigs running.., not ideal & does come with risks, but it usually forces a detection..

    its up to you though....

I tried to make it find automatically drivers online it tells me there are no drivers available O.o and it's not detecting the X-Fi still, will try your solution.

Trying to find driver through cd is a bad idea?
