Unfortunately, the Realtek site can be like that sometimes. The only advice that I can give is that you keep trying.

Something is not quite right with the bass in this new release. Going back to 2.48, best sound thus far IMO on my system..
When you download this are you supposed to download the AC'97 Audio codecs along with the High Definition ones? My mic constantly pops whenever audio starts and stops, and I think there is a slight static-y hum in the background of music.
Hello So1dier,
Since your motherboard has the Realtek ALC889 codec integrated audio chip, you would only use the high definition driver. :)
You're most welcome.
I'm not sure what is causing the popping for you, but I copied your post about this issue to the link below so that you can get better help on it.

They've also split the downloads up into 32-bit and 64-bit, meaning that for those of us who have both 32-bit and 64-bit OSes installed (like me), will have to download both versions. Having said that, they do seem to be downloading quicker. I've got them downloading as I write this, and the 64-bit version is at 70%, with the 32-bit version at 50% completed.
It's quicker to download them at Filehippo...
