Doing as the same...for me, respond well on my system, no crakling/popping sounds when UAC windows popping up, system sounds OK and internet streaming is clear . (I'm only light hardware usb speakers 2.1 when i plug them, so can't really tell against a 7.1 or 5.1)
    Thanks...

Might as well go with it.

I guess it's time to update these drivers as well...
Yes, Realtek's downloads were always excruciatingly slow, but I prefer only the manufacturer's website when downloading something as important as drivers. Waiting a few more minutes doesn't bother me

Are there any changes worth bothering about since the equalizer?

Good luck getting this resolved. I gave up on my system after replacing every component including the motherboard and Power Supply. So I foolishly went out and bought a new computer. An HP HPE-150f running Windows 7 x64. Guess what? Exactly the same problem. The only common factor is Windows 7 x64. The only workaround is to reboot the computer several times a day.

Wait, restarting fixes this issue for you?? That doesn't sound like anything else other people have been saying. Can you explain more?

I also get a speed between 15 - 20 kbps. One would think that Realtek has fixed the scrathy/noise-common problem by now, but maybe they can't.

Perhaps it's a Windows 7 issue? If it is... I should stop updating.
