Yes, frustratingly Realtek provide a link to a file that isn't there yet, and don't provide a link to the old version. Just keep cycling back through versions until it works, e.g.
On the download page they give you an alternative ftp login, with a username and password. I was given:
** Link removed ** this is for version 2.2.9, so I changed it to
** Link removed ** as 2.2.7 is the latest version available.

FYI. In reviewing several of the posts reporting problems with Realtek Audio I noticed the system specifications stated "Windows 7" with no version specification or stated Win 7 RC, etc.

I had audio problems with my intial install of Win 7 RC and Win 7 v7127 using any of the available Realtek drivers up to v2.27. I tried numerous "fixes" with no results.

The problems were not resolved until I uninstalled Realtek and ATI drivers (has an HD Audio component), upgraded to Win7 v7232 and re-installed Realtek and ATI.

New Realtek HD Audio driver 2.29 version released, but the download links at Realtek are not quite working yet. See first post for more details.

if you have enough output plugs,
I had it once before, i have my speakers plugged in through the speaker plugs and then i have my TV plugged in through hdmi...any help is appreciated, i want to get the audio coming out of both sources, and be able to mute one, or keep them both going at the same time, essentially clone the picture(which is done) and the audio

    Thanks
