Stereo Mix picks up no sound (possibly to do with USB headset)

    All disabled apart from realtek, still not working :/ I also restarted the pc too.

    Uninstall Realtek in the Device Manager, DO NOT uninstall the drivers. Reboot the PC and when Windows starts it will reinstall Realtek. This "refresh" seems to help a lot of problems.

    What are you using for the audio source? And what are you using to record?

    Anything, system sounds, music using windows media player, games (shadowplay to record games - it has worked before with stereomix).

    What program are you using to record? Have you tried the free Audacity?

    Yeah I use that too, sorry forgot to mention it.

    It is definitely set on stereo mix, i play it back and its just a flat line, no sound.

    Do you see anything while Audacity is recording?

    I'll have to check Audacity. I use another program (Sonar) as I have a recording studio

    This is how my Audacity looks. I tried a test recording. I assume you can hear what you want to record on the speakers?

    Listening to music through my speakers.

    Nothing being detected on stereo mix or audacity.
