Well, all I can say is if the audio jack is important to you, and it looks like it is based on how you use the monitor, then you should have it fixed.

Does the audio buzz with all input sources, or just the computer?

The audio buzz only happens with just computer.

The audio "output" from the monitor would probably be just a "pass through". However, internally in the monitor it may not be properly shielded and even have a missing ground. Best option, as noted is to run the speakers directly from the PC. Adding the monitor into the circuit is "complicating the ham sandwich" and other than possibly a shorter connection to your speakers doesn't buy you anything except a potential (real) trouble.

So fireberd do you think I should send my H257HU to Acer Repair?

What does connecting to the monitor instead of directly to the PC get you? Is there a volume control on the monitor that you use? or just convenience of connecting the speakers to it? If its just the convenience, get a long "headset" extension cable, connect that to the PC and then run that up on your desk and connect the speakers to the extension cable.

If there is some amplification and a volume control on the monitor and you take advantage of that, then consider getting it repaired (if it can be repaired - the price to repair it may be cost prohibitive compared to buying a new one).

Hello It's been a while ok, so I got my monitor repaired and I received a brand new monitor from acer repair which took almost 2 months long story short. But guess what guys, I still hear the same buzzing noise with this same new monitor replacement I have no idea why this grounding shielding buzzing noise is happening? Did I receive two lemons in a row bad luck or does this happen with all the acer monitor that I have? Is this normal?
