no problem. Glad you got it working.
I have this exact same problem. What is the power service? How do I access it?
Type services.msc in run, look for Power, if not started, right click it, Properties, set Startup type to automatic. You can access services through Task Manager as well.
I find it on another forum - easy fix, which I never would have figured out on my own. Had to right click on the blank box for sound - then "show disabled..." and voila! That's a relief. Now if I could only figure out what happened to my built in webcam, which has completely disappeared from my laptop...

Method 2:
Check the services manually.
I suggest that you check if the dependency services are started and check if you have the same issue.
a. Click Start, type Services.msc in the Start Search box.
b. Scroll down the list of services, right-click Windows Audio and select Start.
c. Select Properties for Windows Audio and set its Startup Type to Automatic.
If the Windows Audio service does not start and you get the error ‘Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start, then make sure that the following services are started and their Startup Type is set to Automatic’
a. Plug and Play
b. Multimedia Class Scheduler <-- in my case this was diabled
c. Windows Audio Endpoint Builder
