    Need Help With My Sound?

    Hi,
I just bought a second monitor and when I plugged it in the HDMI behind my Desktop Computer, I lost all my sound and if I unplug it, the sound comes back! The reason I use a HDMI is because I don't have a DVI cable and there is only one spot for VGA (already used). My question is how to enable sound for both monitors?
    Thanks in advance,
    Yannik

    Ps:
My other question is quite simple: Is it possible to purchase a wireless keyboard but still use a wire mouse?

Windows automatically, as you have found out, changes the Default audio playback device from "Speakers" (PC Sound) to "HDMI" when an HDMI cable is connected. You can manually change it back to "Speakers".

I don't use HDMI so I can't verify but I was told if you disable the HDMI audio in the Device Manager that it will not switch the sound. Give that a try.

Second question. Yes, you can use a wireless keyboard with a wired mouse. Both are separate connections and functions.

Thank you so much for the help. As for the sound, I went in device manager although I can't locate what you said about disabling the HDMI audio! There is a thing called: Sound, video and game controller:
    AMD High Definition Audio Device
    Beat Wireless (Mono Audio)
    Beat Wireless (Stereo Audio)
    Creative SB X-FI
    Hauppage Win
    HD WebCam C525

I don't know how to disable it from there?

The "AMD High Definition Audio Device" is the HDMI audio and the one to disable. RIGHT click on that entry and then LEFT click "Disable".

I use external speakers and HDMI and all I do is select the speakers here as Default.
