Acer 8930G (5.1 Dolby cinematic surround)

    Hi all.
I have a problem here. I installed Windows 7 64x bit ultimate edition on my laptop. And i have a Dolby Home Theater 5.1 cinematic surround sound build in.It has 6 speakers in total and which one of them is the TUBA subwoofer. But the problem is windows 7 doesn't support it. I only get 2 front speakers to work. But before on Vista everything worked great i had surround sound and everything. and now its all gone.
Do I need some special driver ?

cause on the acer website it doesn't have the driver for the DOLBY surround sound driver available for any of the operating systems -.-

I hope someone can help me out. I would be so happy.

    best regards,

Do you have installed Acer eAudio Management? Normally i don't use the inbuild speakers so i don't really know if all 5 speakers and the TUBA are working or only the 2 frontspeakers... I have a Acer Aspire 8930 with Win7 x64 Ultimate too... Only thing didn't downloaded from the Acer's site was eAudio... The Realtek-Drivers are on the Acers Site i think...

I've got an Acer 6920G with 5.1 sound and the stock Win 7 drivers only allowed 2 speaker audio for me too, so I downloaded the Win 7 audio drivers for 6930G (which is basically an updated version of the 6920) as there were none for mine and it works a treat, so does the Realtek R2.35 from the Realtek site.

Try the Win 7 audio drivers for the 8935G from Acers site, they should work fine and restore your 5.1 sound. Here's the link:

    HUZZAH!!

kersey is correct, the audio drivers for the 8935G do work for the 8930G. I have the 8930G running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and using the 8935G drivers from the Acer website has my speakers working beautifully!
