EAC Users - latest version download - BEWARE ALL

Hi all

Was thinking about switching to EAC (Eaxact Audio Copy) for ripping CD's especially as tagging options can be set to use GRACENOTE rather than FREEDB for obtaining the tags.

Microsoft FOREFRONT SECURITY warns both site is potentially dangerous and a Trojan is contained in the file

Bummer as EAC used to be a good program -- anybody got a link to a CLEAN SITE.

Here's image of Microsoft Forefront Client Security warning

Cheers

This has been detected in previous versions of EAC in the past as well. I believe that I read somewhere that the detection popped up since there is an option during the install to install the eBAY icon. From what I read before, you can uncheck that box and install without the icon showing up. It's something with the icon being included that throws these scanners for a loop.

Been using this one for many years.
Just checked. Clean and works great in 7.

That's all it is, the Ebay Icon , easily bypassed with a careful install.

Beware of latest Adobe Flash Player Update.
The attached image says it all. If you have automatic updates enabled then Adobe will install what I would class as malware onto your system.
