Help with Surround Sound

Hi.

I have a ASUS LGA1156 Intel P55 DDR3 - 2133 ATX Motherboard

I was told this mobo has surround 5.1 integrated with it.

I just do not understand how to use it, or at least I think I don't.

What cable do I need and what slot do i have to connect it to.

I have a slightly old home theater but i've never changed it because I feel it is enough for what I need. It's a Panasonic SA-HT720. Will this work with using the surround sound from my PC?

Here is a pick of the slots in the mobo.

Here is a link to the Guide of the Panasonic SA-HT720.

Thanks and please help!!

The best you are going to get from that Panasonic is a stereo connection from the computer, as it only has stereo audio inputs (red and white RCA jacks). If you do connect it the only way to get suround out of it is to use the Dobly Prologic II setting.

you mean to put the settings in the panasonic reciever to Dolby Pro Logic II?
Will I get surround with this (All 5 Speakers?)

Also I feel as I have to upgrade already my surround.

What home theater is recommended in the 400 and down price range?
I need it with a lot of inputs for surround with PS3, Xbox 360, DISH, Computer, DVD Player & of course the DVD that comes with the home theater system.
Is there a home theater receiver were I can just plug all my HDMI connections and have the surround right away and just switch between inputs through the receiver?
That extra DVD I mention is one that has USB playback of avi files and other movies.
Maybe there is a surround that comes with this USB playback already included so I can eliminate that extra DVD Player?

Please Help I think it's time for an upgrade.

Thanks for the reply stormy.

this one is a little more expensive but it seems to do the job no?

Amazon.com: Onkyo HT-S7200 (B) 7.1-Channel Home Entertainment Receiver/Speaker Package with Dock for the iPod: Electronics

Onkyo HT-S7200 - 7.1-Channel Home Theater Package with dock for iPod® | Model Information | Onkyo USA Home Theater Products

So i just connect my HDMI to the receiver and I get full surround and hd quality picture with this home theater system???
