Windows 7 - Laptop > HDTV (HDMI - HDMI) No Audio!?

| | Laptop > HDTV (HDMI - HDMI) No Audio!? I've recently bought a HDTV as well as a HDMI to HDMI Cable to connect my sony Z690 to the TV. Apparently, i've tried almost every tactic there was on the net to solve this mysterious and frustrating issue...nothing works. I get perfect Video, but no sound. I tried installing the updated drivers via the sony drivers site (which are recommended) and all the possible updates for the laptop. The issue I keep seeing is that when I go to playback, the Speakers is DEFAULT, BUT, I WANT TO CHANGE THE HDMI OUTPUT TO DEFAULT. ISSUE: HDMI OUTPUT IS GREYED OUT. WHY?? I contacted sony support, useless. Keeps saying it's not plugged in when it IS plugged IN.............What am I doing wrong?? |
