    Low volume on headset

My volume on my Steelseries 5H v2 is pretty low and im pretty sure it started after i got win 7 64bit. My volume should play twice as loud as it does right now, it also makes a little constant noise when no sound is played witch is annoying.

I tryed checking everything in the sound options and my Realtek HD Audio Manager witch is the software for my Asus P5Q Pro motherboard witch i use as soundcard. Every thing in windows and realtek is at 100% and other software as winamp. The volume scrool on my headset is at 100% too ofcourse.

My friend have exactly same headset and its twice as loud and i tested on my fathers Win XP and worked like a charm. Though im not sure its caused by windows 7, but i have a strong feeling.

Hope you can help me :)

EDIT: I have used the search button and didn't find anything that could help me.
