    How to turn off sounds?

I just installed Windows 7 and I really like it, but that "bonk" sound it makes seemingly every time you do anything, such as clicking a link on a web page is driving me crazy? Can someone tell me how to turn this off?

    Thanks in advance,
    Kevin

Right click desktop/ personalize / click sounds / under sound scheme select no sounds or if you want to disable specific sounds you can select them from the program events window.

Thanks for the reply. I figured out how to select the "No Sounds" profile but I appreciate your reply. Is there a pre-defined sound scheme that is less annoying than the default one? I probably wouldn't mind one that makes sounds when I do something wrong or the system has an error but that constant bonk sound every time I click a link or activate anything really bugs me!

In that same menu, there is a drop down box at the top that lets you choose an array of preloaded Windows Sound schemes...I believe you can also specify a sound for each function (like the error sound...)

OK, I set SOunds to No sounds but something keeps pinging every so often. Any ideas?
