    windows XP sounds in windows 7


    Is there a place I can get the windows XP sounds to download and import to my windows 7 theme, there is various sounds from XP which I felt were more suited for productivity reasons. The windows 7 sounds are more calmer and quieter but as a result they dont draw my attention enough and they sound too similiar to each other so I hear a sound and wonder what it is for.

    If you have access to a XP computer you could just copy them from the C:\Windows\Media folder. If you don't have access here is all of them from one of my computers still running XP,

Ok, In attempt to use the xp theme, minus the xp style, I assigned the logon and off wav files to windows. But when You start up or shut down they dont play the sounds, only if I log off or on. I do not see sounds for windows startup and shut down, what do I change? I do not log off as this desktop...
