    Sound devices windows don't show

    All,

Anybody having this weird problem in Windows 7? .... (With Realtek audio?)

After a clean boot of my computer, I try to manage my audio devices ...

The windows on the control panel refuse to open:
    - when I select "Manage sound devices" from the Control Panel main window.
    - when I select "Playback devices", "Recording devices", or "Sounds" from the Volume icon in the notification area.

Then when I put the computer to sleep, and then rewake it, the Sound Control Panels appear that I have requested before I put the PC to sleep...

I am running on a realtek high definition sound architecture, which is built onboard of my P5K/EPU ASUS motherboard. Latest drivers of realtek are installed.

    best regards,
    Sven

Since the first initial builds of Windows 7 (build 7100), so I guess about a year?

Nevermind then. I was going to suggest a System Restore, but that will not work.
