Trouble with 5.1 Sound

Hi there, new member but long time viewer of this great forum.

I now have an issue I hope someone can help with, I'll provide as much information as I possibly can, while hopefully maintaining some level of coherency.

Speakers: Logitech X-540
OS: Windows 7 Professional
Mainboard: Ms 7327

and I use Realtek HD audio manager which came with installing the drivers..

Here's my problem currently: The speakers have this button which is optional "Matrix" which as I understand it, should be used when playing music (say through winamp) as opposed to watching a video with sound to provide a "fake 5.1". I believe these speakers do it much better than the Realtek HD audio manager because before my problem i didn't use that setting in the manager,
HOWEVER before my problem started this button only changes the sound for the better ... AKA: either way sound comes out, one just sound better for certain situations.

Essentially I used to be able to flip it on and off while sound kept coming out, a change was noticeable but it never killed sound like it currently is when i turn it on.

Currently that button is turned off and with it off I get sound through my front center speaker as well as the rear 2, my FL and FR don't work as the issue currently stands.

If I turn ON the matrix button all sound everywhere is cut off. Furthermore, with this matrix button OFF (as well as Speaker Fill in the Audio Manager) and run the "test" in the HD audio manager that tests all 6 (FL, FR, CEN, SUB, RL, RR) speakers, only the CEN, SUB, RR, RL output the test sound.

What I want help with is the above...(matrix issue) as well as figuring out why my FL and FR speakers output no sound whatsoever.

The back panel currently has plugged in: black (1), orange (2), light green (3), but when i remove the light green and plug in to the middle green (5) (next to the pink mic jack) nothing changes.

I suppose this issue started when I reinstalled from the 7100 to Professional (got the student deal woo!) about a week ago.

I wonder if it is a driver problem, I have the most current up to date (Jan 8th).

If you need any more information I'll gladly give it if someone can help me solve this.
