Volume not loud enough - how do I bypass volume limit?

I'm afraid I must say that XeRo is incorrect.
I use a hot swap drive bay, which quickly allows me to switch back and forth between Windows 7 and Linux.
I am able to achieve a much higher volume(through my headset) with Linux than I can with Windows 7, and this on the same mobo.
Note: This also is with the onboard sound instead of my aftermarket video card.

I have a Corsair Vengeance 1500 headset, and when I use it it's always too loud. Even when I turn the volume down to 1, it's too loud at times. I have tried it on 3 different computers, and it happens on all of them. I have gone to the control panel and tried to turn down all sound options, but it...
