    Ready to go Postal

Ok, got the wonderful world of sound issues in Win7. Anytime I try to play music or watch a movie and game I get horrible lag spikes that drag the computer down to almost stopping with loud cracking and popping. I have read and tried so many things from this forum I think I have read it all. So anything new in the last week I should know about? Here are the details.

    Asus M2N-MX Se Plus Mobo
    AMD Athlon X2 64 50000+
    ALC662 Hd Integrated sound
    Nvidia Geforce 8800GT Vid Card
using the NForce 430 chipset and Lan controller

All Drivers are the latest as of Jan 10, 2010.

And I am sure someone will ask, so Winamp 5.57 Pro or WMP for music and movies, and usually playing WOW or lately CoD MW 2. Any help will be rewarded with virtual kisses from my dogs. Thanks.

It sounds to me like a latency problem. Whether it's a bad driver or not I have no idea. Do you have any type of audio production software installed? Have you tried uninstalling Winamp Pro to see if the problem still exists with only WMP installed?
