    Soundmax Array Mic on AD1988B

Hi, I have a problem with my Soundmax array mic on windows 7, the volume is very low and when I use mic boost the sound is of very poor quality with annoying static. Does anyone know some good drivers for this sound card that will work on windows 7 64bit?

I have no problems whatsoever with audio playback, just the microphone has problems.

L.E. After fiddling with lots and lots of drivers, I found a modified version with the new Soundmax panel, problem is although the microphone works as expected in the sound card software, in windows and other apps it still has the same problems.

M.L.E. Made it using the v6.10.02.6520 driver wich you have to mod to make it work on some ADI sound cards, more details about modding in the 3-rd post of this topic: http://www.nforcershq.com/forum/1-vt...r=asc&&start=0
I couldn't make head or tail of it so I just installed them over a modded version of the 6480 drivers.

Does anyone know of 32-bit drivers that will work with my Asus P5E3?

It has the same ADI AD1988 sound card I believe, but right now I can't get any meaningful sound output yet, as I'm not game to try the manufacturers vista/xp disc. I'd rather head direct to something more suitable if it exists.

Any thoughts? Or should I just bust out the Vista drivers?
