2 headphone jacks as different devices?
Hello, my headset just broke which was USB...I have a laptop which I sort of dock on my desk with a dozen things plugged into it, and normally I have my computer speakers plugged into the headphone jack, which I use those for music, and then my USB headset for gaming/voip at the same time.
Anyway I went out looking at headsets and I found an awesome one but it was just copper rather than USB...however my laptop does have 2 headphone and 1 microphone jacks on it, so I'm wondering if its possible to have each of the headphone jacks as its own device so I can have different things playing to each one.
I'm googling and messing around with 2 different headphones plugged into my laptop right now, but they are both just playing the same thing And I only have 1 Audio device (which tends to be whatever is plugged in...Forexample if nothing is plugged in, it will come out the Laptop's Speakers, and If I plug something into the headphone jack, it will come out that and the speakers will mute. I'm using the Windows 7 default audio driver, because the manufacturer of my laptop (HP/IDT) was having major issues with Windows 7...However its been quite a while since I looked into that.
Cheers.
