I have the same Mic and windows 7. Didn't have any problems with it. Just plugged and played perfect. I use Ventrillo and in game VOIP with no problems... Sorry, can't help.

Hey guys, i hope this thread will be noticed even if it's 1year+ old.
I just bought a new comp with windows 7 home premium x64, and the famous creative fatal1ty headset. It's a Dell computer, so i got the headset + mic jacks on the top of my case.
The problem is: in Ventrilo (probably on other programs too, still gotta try) when i plug my mic jack into the computer's one (mic is plugged into the headset and turned on), i stop hearing at other people's voice...If i unplug it, i can hear them again. I already tried tweaking some configuration for the sound card, nothing changed.
    Can someone help me?
I'm not on my pc at the moment, ask for a screeshot of the audio config and i'll provide it asap.

EDIT the actual problem happens when i plug in the headphones jack, not the mic one. When i unplug it, i hear other people's voice from the speakers (obviously, since headphones are not plugged in)
