OP, did you install from DVD or ??

I am having trouble getting a Win7 Ultimate DVD to even start correctly on a DC7100.

OP, did you have to update BIOS or load Win7 -friendly chipset drivers to get the install going? did you install from a DVD?

    thx

i know this thread is a few months old. but i read the question about having problems booting from the 7 dvd on the dc 7100. i solved the problem (well sort of). it says attempting to boot from disk and then eventually just loads up your current OS. well i hit pause/break when it said attempting to load from disc. and came back 3 min later and hit ENTER. then it gave the typical press any key to load from cd or dvd.

just thought i put in my two cents... hope this answer helps many to come.
