    Help me!!!


    I have been an XP user for many years until 7 pulled me away, I have only 1 problem with this perfect OS, I HAVE NO SOUND! Please tell me i do not need to go out and buy new sound and video cards? My monitor is working beautifully but its not registering the nvidia geforce fx graphics card that is installed and the drivers for it are only up to v-vista there are 2 sound cards installed 1 is onboard the other is pci but niether have any windows 7 updates. WHAT DO I DO?!

    Welcome!

    Go into Control Panel>Sound and click on Speakers. At the bottom, set them to default.

    Hopefully this will solve your issue.

    still no sound


    , Thanks for trying guys but I still have no sound, my "specs" are

    intel desktop boardD845EBG2,

    pentium 4

    1GB RAM,

    Old ibm fru soundcard

    nvidia geforce FX5200 graphics card.

    All of which have no updated drivers for Windows 7
