    Record from sound card

Anyone else got problems recording sound directly from soundcard with this windows 7 shit? I have a Lenovo G550 model 2958 and I have "show disabled and disconnected devices" checked under recording but the only output I have is the stupid microphone. Solutions anyone?

    Might check this thread.

Don't have stereo mix, any idea to record sound?

There are programs that can capture a directx stream.

Hello Denmark, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You might see if this may be able to help. Double check to make sure that you have the latest sound driver installed. If you do not see a What U Hear or Stereo Mix device listed, then your sound card/chip may not support this feature then.

"What U Hear" Recording - Enable

    Hope this helps,

I would not advice recording directly from Windows, unfortunately the quality of such records leaves much to be desired.
I've tried several third party tools for recording and use MP3 Recorder Studio now, I'm very satisfied with its functionality and quality of recorded audio.
