Best way to setup the Klipsch 4.1 speakers with Realtek
I have a very nice sounding set of Klipsch 4.1 speakers (no center channel). All of the speakers run into the sub and then a pair of cables come out of the sub to be connected to the sound card. One is in to the front pair input and the other to the rear. The Realtek setup doesn't really seen to cover this. I can setup 5.1 and then not check the center channel which seems to cover the front. On the sound test it sends the center signal to both of the fronts ... as it should. But it will not allow me to select the rears as rears ... I have to set them up as sides. Is this as it should be?
Also - it seems to be trying to send a signal directly to the sub as if the sub has its own connection.
