Windows 7: PCI simple communication + Front jack Problems

hello, before i installed my windows 7, i was running on windows xp(SP3) but yesterday I had installed windows 7 and all i got to say is it's Fantastic compared to windows xp. except I had kind of ran into couple problems, such as after i had used "Driver Genius pro edition" + "unknown Device" and gotten all of the proper drivers for my new OS, every thing works fine except for PCI simple communication controller not beening able to install, I have a feeling that this is also the reason why my 3.5mm front mic jack doesn't work. My mic use to work with Windows xp, now... not so much

Specs:
MoBo: Intel ~ DP965LT
Intel Dual Core2 CPU (1.86 GHz x 2 so 3.6GHz)
Ram 4GB DDR 2
500gb of Hard Drive
Video card ~ Radeon x1600 (going to be upgraded soon

)
Microphone : 3.5mm Speaker/mic Jacks. Front and Back

I have been tried all kinds of driver's and stuff.. they are either incompadiable with OS windows 7 or MoBo. The I can't seem to manage to fix this problem, so any help is very appreciated

even though i asked for some help on the forums, i still kept looking and actually found a VERY helpful post that basically fixed my problem.

This driver is also compatible with the 965 chipset. Here is the link:

Once you download it, you'll have to run in win [COLOR=#0072BC ! important][COLOR=#0072BC ! important]WinXP[/COLOR][/COLOR] compatibility mode (right-click the file once you download it, go to the compatibility tab, and select WinXP mode.)
