I had the same problem earlier in my Dell System, Here's how i solved it! ,this should also help other viewers of this thread (Only Dell Products) EVERY DRIVER OF YOUR SYSTEM:

    1: Go Here

2: Now click change your Product.

3: Then click "Enter a service tag"

4:The service tag will be below your system, enter it.

5:Select your Operation System (OS) if your system is not supported with the windows you are using choose not applicable.

6: Download the Dell-Diagnostics Utility. Extract it.

7:Open you Device Manager go to your device you want to install, right click that device and select "Update Driver Software",

8:Now Browse your Computer for Driver Software, click browse and open the directory where you extracted the configuration utility then press OK.

9:The Device Driver you want should be Installed, It worked for me and should for you.

    Hope This Helps! :)

    It works!

FYI, same problem with XPS M1330 after windows 7 install. Cublion3's instructions worked for me. One note, don't click the setup.exe after downloading the utility. It will only complain that the driver is not for your operating system. However, doing as cublion3 instructs works!

Just to say that cublion 3's post did not work for me. My problem was that after pluggin in the HDMI lead from the tv to my m1330 nothing happened.

fn and f8 used to do the job but that wasnt working either and this was following me reinstalling windows 7 on my m1330 a few months ago and updating with all windows updates.

the solution was to ignore windows telling me that the graphics driver was up to date and going to nvidia's website and getting nvidia to scan my computer, find an updated driver and installing it. it was about 160mb but it works a treat now

the tv is instantly recognised and sound is fine. remember of course to make the hdmi the default setting for sound which you can do by going to the icon tray at the bottom of the desktop and right clicking the speaker and going to playback devices

thought i would post this as this helped me and might help someone else

The driver that Dell recommended via the service tag on my friend's M1330 (upgraded to Win7) wasn't working for some reason. I downloaded the driver directly from this post. I followed the steps and it worked for me.
