Check to make sure that no sound effects are being used in Realtek Audio Manager.

Sounds like your speakers are the problem. Wait for a second opinion, but my best advice is buy a new pair of speakers.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you still hear the distortion if you use the speakers with another machine.

Have you tried another pair of speakers in your laptop?

I still hear the distortion of computer speakers and speakers with another machine.
Yes I tried another pair of speakers.
* I tried with speakers working properly on another computer without a hitch and so on.

Windows 7 x64 finally!

WarRock, let's start over.

1) Do you hear distortion when using only the laptop internal speakers?
2) When you connect the external speakers (which have distortion in the laptop) to another computer, do you get the same distortion?
3) If you connect to your laptop another set of speakers which are working properly in another computer, do you get the distortion?

Let's try to understand what is happening.
