No Wav and Mic Input Window
I am running Windows 7 Professional on a new HP Laptop. For Internet radio broadcasting, I am plugging in an external USB Soundblaster sound card. On my old computer, under Window XP, I clicked on the Sound icon in the lower right corner and it opened up a window where I had various control options for Playback and Recording. In order to broadcast an Internet radio show, I would click on Sound, Recording, and display Wav and Mic. To play music, I would click on Wav and to speak, I would change it to Mic. Those controls are needed to go back and forth.
This window is missing in Windows 7. I know there is a Recording window to select different components to use and set volume levels, but that only helps with those settings. It does not help me to broadcast since there is nowhere to go back and forth between music and talking. Is there any way to get the old window back (or something similar)? Running under XP Mode does not work, since the microphone cannot be recognized.
