Windows 7: SupremeXF x-Fi not reconised

Hi all,

Trouble with the SupremeXF on Asus Crosshair 3

this is my second time round with Windows 7 just moved off from the 7100 build
got a new build a while back and all was ok. now i have reinstalled windows i am having a major issue with it picking up my sound card at all. (not seen in device manager),

none the less i have tried to download the drivers for it from ASUS (ASUSTeK Computer Inc.) and i am getting a this message "The Audio driver files do not support your computer hardware" despite downloading the Windows 7 64 drivers,

starting to pull hair out atm,

any help will take the stress level down a level many thanx in advanced.
