    Well Build 7077 works perfectly and my surround sound!!


    Well, 7077 build works perfectly and even my surround sound. It was a stupid error on my part . I forgot to select the 5.1 surround sound option in the Control Panel lols.

    ASUS P5Q SE PLUS onboard sound. It's in my system specs tab.

    The one problem with onboard is not seeing anything other then Windows own sound controls, speaker settings. Those are seen in the Control Panel>sound.



    You simplyhighlight the item and then click on the configure button seen on the first tab to select the 5.1 as you test the sound output. In 7 you no longer see the advanced tab on the volume control for changing them there.

    Glad to hear you have that sorted out. At least this can be a reference at least for anyone not too familiar with the way 7 is arranged over XP, Vista.
