    sound volume/loudness low, help.

I'm running windows 7 build 7000, whether it's mp3, wav, flv, avi, etc.. no matter what application I'm using; winamp, wmp, wmc, gom player, nero showtime, quicktime, powerdvd, etc.. the sound volume/loudness is so low.
so low it's lower than 50% of that on xp. I've maxed everything in volume mixer, but it's still barely heard, especially when watching dvd and dvd rips. for music I'm saved by DFX plugin of wmp, but for movies.. I need help.

If you have Realtek HD Audio, have you checked the following setting?

    Hi Julio,

Assuming that you have got the HD version as opposed to the AC'97 version, then this is the correct page. This version, R2.21, is the one that I use, and it does support W7, as indicated in the following file:

    Readme.txt

I use the method as shown in the following Tutorial for installing the audio driver, as I have found this to be more reliable than the one described.

I'm sorry but almost all of it is R2.21. I've downloaded the one on top which is said for Vista, hope that that is the right one, I'm updating my sound card driver into it as I type this. I'll let you know the result.
    Thanks for your attention.
