Upgraded to Build 7077 - Staticy Sound now

I upgraded (not a clean install) to 7077 today from 7048. I reinstalled the latest Realtek Driver, and my sound is staticy on files played from WMP 12.
I had this issue before on both an upgrade and clean install of 7057, which is why I went back to 7048 among other reasons.

Anybody have a tip, trick, or fix for this? I have tried different sound settings, some are worse than others, but there is static or skipping sound in all media files.

Thanks guys for telling me what I already knew had to be done, and providing me with the push to go ahead and do it :)

I bit the bullet, and just got finished with a clean install as well as reinstalling all my apps. Sound is crystal clear now!

Not a good move to upgrade. These builds are not designed for upgrades and so will not remove the previous files completely.
I recommend you clean install. :)

Glad a Clean Install worked for you. However, I have Seven build 7000 and have Static and horrible sound issues. It Was obviously an install and not an update.

Any tips?

I think the torrent was slightly damaged. That, or the sound drivers for your speakers are dysfunctional or junk.
