Ive been toiling away with this problem for some time, I used to be able to get sound on my TV when I ran Vista and since upgrading to Windows 7 I have had problens. I used to be able to have sound until I ran an application and the sound would go and not come back unless a restart was done.
I tied reinstalling both audio and video drivers and now I have video but no audo at all. It is picking up my TV, and it is selected as the default device but no more sound.
