    Problem solved!

    I switched out the card and installed Asus Xonar DS and installed 7 drivers and it worked! I'm using NERO WaveEditor to record streaming audio. Good luck! BTW Creative drivers SUCK!

cant record audio

I have an emu 1820m soundcard installed in my computer. It seems to be functioning perfectly. I can play dvd'd, cd's, iTunes, etc and the sound plays through my speakers without a problem. I want to record some sounds from a dvd but i cant get anything to record. Recording device is set to Wave...
anyone know of a package that can simply record whatever the audio device puts out, regardless of the audio/sound source? I thought I could strip the audio track off a music dvd but so far has proven otherwise.
