Thats exactly the problem. I don't know the exact
driver version of my soundcard in the release candidate (x64), but it was the creative beta
driver. Now i am using the 1.04.0090 but i also tested 1.04.0077 and the beta
driver.
The windows version i have now is the final windows 7 64bit professional version.
I've been testing also every different openal version, without any luck.
But i've experienced, that only software without its own openal32.dll is not running.
If there is a openal32.dll in the main folder of the game, its running. But if the game tries to use the Windows/System32/openal32.dll its not working.
So i checked, wether the file is read protected or not. But the permission settings are ok as far as i can see.
