    Re activate device

Well, I just showed up here, as in I registered 2 minutes ago, But I really really need the help of all you people to re activate the built in speakers of my Notebook. Not to be pointing fingers, but I know a certain little devil who runs around this house that decided to tell the computer that It shouldn't use the built in speakers (As I'm sure you know, you can go to device options while changing the volume and select 'do not use this device') I'm sure the solution may be something I am overlooking, but already I have re-installed the official audio drivers from the ASUS website to no avail. Please, please help me. I have become quite desperate, and it is not easy to carry speakers with me everywhere I go XP

    Thank you!

From what I can find, your best bet is to disable whatever device the computer is defaulting to. Then, make sure the speakers you're trying to use are selected as the default device. You can do all of this through the Sound portion of Control Panel.

To permanently enable your motherboard speaker:

How can I disable / enable the internal speaker?
