Windows 7: I can hear 'Sound' but can open sound menu to adjust it

Hi,

I am having a weird problem.

I can actually hear sounds and talk with other people. It all works fine.

But I can open any sound menu's or options.

None of these icons/ menus are working.

Please see attachment, I am not very good at english and pictures say a thousand words.

EDIT : More info,
I have Asus Crosshair III mobo and it has SupremeFX X-Fi Sound card. I have soundmax drivers and creative audio panel which works fine.

First of all, those are the Windows' sound settings. You should try to adjust them via your Creative/Soundmax settings.

Second, here's the latest driver:

Just go through the menus til you get to your audio drivers.
