    Speakers Properties

Has anyone else found or noticed that under the 'Levels' tab in Speakers Properties that '96' and '90' are missing from the volume slider.

If you set the volume to 100 and then gradually drop it down using the cursor to be on the safe-side they aren't there. I get:

    100>99>98>97>95>94>93>92>91>89

This also means that the volume here and the volume slider in the taskbar tray are out of sync.

Can anyone confirm that my OCD isn't out of control and/or I'm not mad?

    Hello Dazeon,

    Welcome to the Seven Forums.

Sorry, but I am not having this problem. I can get them all.

OK, I just checked one of my other machines which is using a XiFi card and that is fine.

Therefore I am guessing it is the HD audio device drivers on my laptop, it's a SoundMax something or other when the correct drivers are installed.

Maybe the default Windows 7 drivers are broken, saying that the volume isn't very loud at all, even set at 100%.

Anyone with a SoundMax audio controller and/or a Toshiba laptop?

Thanks for the welcome garysgold, I've been a lurking member for a while but figured I might as well participate as I find this place pretty invaluable.
You get a better response here than the official Windows 7 beta program!

Haha. Yea, I was rescued to our sister site Vistax64 from the MS newsgroups when I was having problems with Vista a bit over a year ago. Glad your enjoying the site.
