Can't play music and use mic at the same time Realtek

    Hello everybody,
I'm sorry to post this problem here but I tried everything and it won't work.

Problem is I can't use the mic and and play music at the same time on recording, I'm on windows xp sp3 using a Realtek ALC888 card, I asked many but no one seemed to work it out, any suggestions?

What are you trying to do? Play music and record (mix) your voice with the music? Or are you trying to separately play music and record using the mic?

BTW, this is the Windows 7 forum.

I'm trying to Mix, it never worked, they told me somewhere that my sound card must be full duplex for this to work, not sure if ALC888 is full deplex or not? any suggestions for this to work?

I know it's windows 7 but I'm on xp, I appreciate if you guys could help me too, because until now no one could, thanks.

Your sound is full duplex (almost everything that has been made in the last 10 years or even more is full duplex. My Windows 98
Download, the free Audacity recording program Audacity: Free Audio Editor and Recorder Bring in the music that you want to sing with as one track on Audacity. Then set up another track with your mic as input and "I think" you will be able to get your voice mixed with the music.
