    Codecs


    Awhile ago I installed a bunch of codecs not knowing if I really needed them. Just want to know if I need them at all, installed or can I just uninstall them. Here they are:
    Combined community codec pack 2009-09-09
    K-lite codec pack 5.2.0 (full)
    PixiePack codec pack

    Best policy with codecs. Only install them if you absolutely need to. We need to know what players you use, what type of video files you view, etc

    Players I use are Windows Video Player, trailers on the web, Nero. Watch all kinds of video files. Thanks.

    installing multiple codec packs can cause conflicts with your system... I would uninstall all of them for the time being and see, if in fact, you need them at all... Let us know if you need further help...

Hellow there my windows media player does'nt ecognize some files,flv,wmm. Would some one please tell me how to make sure that i am not missing any codecs. Or any easy solution to this problem best regaurds thank you

I am interested in using media centre that comes with Windows 7 but a lot of my media will not play via media player so i am sure as a result will not play in media centre as i believe that it uses media player. Does any one know of any codecs that i could download that would allow this media to...
