I know for a fact Cubase runs great on my windows, nothing unstable.
I even use FL studio rewired into Cubase no problem. I used the crappy Digidesign 002 firewire mixer and it couldn't handle what I threw at it. I now use Creamware Scope for my DAW's, nothing beats it hands down. The Co. is now called Sonic Core.
Sonic Core
I use Cubase, FL Studio 9, Independence, Pro Tools, all on Windows.
Logitec Z-5500 5.1 THX speakers. If Pro Tools won't work well in some Windows installations is probably because the designers didn't code it well or did it like that on purpose to make people switch to Mac, or they aren't good enough coders. I know for a fact even quicktime scews with windows explorer causing it to crash, unstable. I removed it and everything went back to normal, I suspect something fishy. I know better and that's why I can say what I say. I bought the digidesign 002 new but don't really need to use it as my Scope has many more inputs and outputs and way more power than the digidesign system.
