    Just bought a new card - any install advice


    I currently have a Creative X-Fi OEM which I recently got working with help from this forum. Still not 100% happy so have lashed out on a Asus Xonar Essence (the one with built-in headphone amp).

    I intend to uninstall the Creative software through Revo Pro and the driver through Device manager. Is there anything else I should be aware of or doing?

    Just basic advice, make a system restore point, first. You never know what may happen.
