Creative X-fi Extreme music

Hi there!

I got a hold of the Windows 7 RC (x64) Build 7100 yesterday and since then have tried many different drivers with no result. At first when i reboot my computer i get a pretty bad sound at startup when i play a mp3 song or open a vidoe but the sound tottaly dissapears after 3-5seconds to never come back again untill a new reboot. Anyone mind helping me that have got things to work out with the same card? Got a nforce 430 motherboard if that does any good.

cheers.

Had problems with my creative X-fi Extreme as well.

Follow the link to get the new creative beta driver for windows 7 and install it (remove old drivers first)

Have you tried Daniel_K's drivers? Forgive my stupidity if those drivers are made for previous creative audio cards..

Or youp-PAX modded X-FI drivers? They look to be quite good.

Creative X-Fi MB issues on Windows 7 - CMSS 3D and Creative Console
I have a 5.1 system and I play it through the Sound Blaster X-Fi MB audio card. As I'm playing a stereo file in Winamp, I have enabled CMSS 3D upmixing (surround). It would play in the surround (upmixed state) for a while and if I play any movie on VLC and return to Winamp, the CMSS 3D won't play...

x-fi extreme music card not working
I cannot get the sound to work right in Windows 7 RC build 7100 64 bit with an x-fi Extreme Music sound card. I've tried the beta drivers, I've tried the 2.0 pack from Daniel K...everything. It seems that some have been able to get this card to work, so I don't know what is wrong. The sound is...

X-Fi Music extreme problem
I'm using Creatives beta-driver SBXF_W7DRVBTA_US_2_18_0013.exe, but it seems to "forget" the analog audio. Sometimes when I turn on my PC, there is no sound, and in control panel there is only showed SPDIF out. The only solution I have found is to reinstall the driver, but is there a better...
